When each party arrives with their own screenshots, sessions drift into arguing about what was cropped out. A single chronological transcript of the whole conversation reduces that friction: context is visible, and disagreements move to what the messages mean rather than whether they exist.
A shared reference both sides can check
Each ScanMyChat package includes a transcript with Bates-style stamps (for example SMITH-000001) and an integrity manifest with SHA-256 hashes of the source file, transcript and report. If both parties hold the same export, anyone can confirm the transcript came from that file using the included VERIFY.txt instructions.

Suggested workflow for parties
Ask each party to export the relevant chat themselves, run the free analysis to confirm the date range and participant list, and tag the few messages they consider important. Bringing the timeline plus the full transcript keeps the conversation focused while preserving context.
Because processing happens in the party's own browser and nothing is uploaded, you avoid collecting or storing their private chat data.
Keeping expectations realistic
The package organizes messages; it does not establish that a particular person wrote them, and it is not a forensic examination. If the matter later goes to court, authentication and admissibility are separate questions for the parties' counsel and the court. Deleted messages cannot be recovered, and timestamps appear as exported in the device's local time.

Do I need an account to review a package?
No. The package is a ZIP with a PDF, CSV files and a JSON manifest that open with standard software.
Who should pay for the export?
Usually the party who owns the chat export. It is $19.99 per case, one-time, covering one export file with unlimited re-exports of it.
Can parties redact private details before sharing?
Yes. Redaction of phone numbers, emails, custom terms and message ranges applies to the report only, and the redaction log records what was hidden.
Does the package say who is right?
No. It presents the messages in order and lists the ones each party tagged. Interpreting them stays with the parties and the mediator.
