ScanMyChat ("The Service") is a digital forensic tool designed to organize and format data.We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. The reports generated by this tool are for informational and organizational purposes only. You should consult with a qualified attorney for advice regarding your individual situation.
2. Data Processing & Privacy
The Service operates on a "Local-First" architecture. All file parsing, analysis, and report generation occur within your web browser's local memory. ScanMyChat does not upload, store, or transmit your chat logs to any external server. You are solely responsible for the security of your own device.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use this Service only for lawful purposes. You verify that you are the owner of the data being processed or have explicit legal authorization to process it. Fabricating evidence or altering generated reports to mislead a court of law is a felony in many jurisdictions.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall ScanMyChat be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Service. We do not guarantee that the reports generated will be admissible in every specific court jurisdiction.
